This post offers an exciting opportunity to work with Christian Aid in Brazil. The main focus of the post is to support Brazil Programme and other colleagues in Christian Aid in raising and managing restricted institutional income and promoting positive engagement with partners, alliances and donors to achieve transformational growth by increased impact, scale and leverage.

Essential experience and skills required from applicants:

• Expertise in working with institutional donors (e.g. EU, DFID) on funding proposals and grant management, including proven success of securing funds.
• Understanding of international development issues and donors trends.
• Knowledge of key social, economic, cultural and environmental issues in Brazil and experience working with Southern civic society organisations.
• High level of numeracy, understanding of financial controls & procedures and good analytical ability.
• Excellent spoken and written Portuguese and English.
• Excellent IT skills especially word processing and spreadsheets.
• University degree in social sciences, administration or management or equivalent experience.
• Experience of social enterprise partnerships and projects are desirable.
